Cape Bag is the manufacturing division of the group and is the leading bag manufacturing plant in the Western Cape which we have been serving since 1935. Our products are sold into the agricultural, chemical, industrial, engineering, construction and mining sectors of the economy. As one of the largest manufacturers we are able to offer product “off the shelf” or manufacture products to your specification.  The Cape Bag Group is made up of the following companies:

Cape Twines & Packaging trades and manufacturers various products used in all sectors of the economy and services local, national and international markets. The company has been in operation since 1969 and a retail shop is situated at 177 Albert Road, Woodstock where our friendly staff will be happy to assist you. The shop has recently been extended to cater for the growing product range.

Our specialist supplies include light and heavy weight tarpaulins, woven polypropylene material, a variety of grades of canvas and shade cloth, barrier tapes, barrier netting, cargo nets, pallet and container covers, coir, sisal and manila rope.
If it’s natural hessian you require, we supply all weights and widths up to 300cm wide.   Our product range includes coloured and printed hessian up to 1.3 meters wide as well as laminated hessian dropsheets.

Our sales staff can advise you on the comprehensive range of natural and synthetic webbing, agricultural and commercially used twines, braids, ropes, sewing thread, Newlomg/Revo portable bag closing machines, spares as well as servicing.

Miscellaneous items such as brass eyelets, wire ties and tools, sack needles, bubble wrap, plastic sheeting and pallet wrap are standard stock items. Cargo ratchets and straps are available at competitive prices.   As part of our comprehensive service, our modern factory manufactures bags to specification of all industries. Cape Bag Group sells hessian, woven poly bags and vegetable pockets as well as woolpacks and bulk bags from ½ to 2 ton capacity.

The innovative B.O.P.P. bag woven bag with high quality printing for use in all market segments has been added to our extensive range of packing products.   Misprints are also available, for example – rubble bags.   We have close on 900 different products to offer to the public, including:

We import and are stockists of industrial & agricultural bags, canvas, hessian fabric, shoppers and sacks, jute, webbing, twines, ropes and more. We custom make tarpaulins, bags, bulk bags either in standard sizes or to your specifications.

Our retail factory shop is situated at 177 Albert Road Woodstock where our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.

The factory shop has recently been extended and revamped to cater for the growing product range which include many eco / environmentally friendly products. Please visit our factory shop open Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 4pm and Saturdays 8am – 1pm.
There is parking at our factory at 177 Albert Road, Woodstock, directly across from the Total garage.
